Alem Babic

Bosnian-Herzegovinian Film Producer


Alem Babić was born in Sarajevo in 1976.

Since 1998, he has been employed by RTVBIH as an assistant director, later at FTVBiH. Worked as a director of music videos, commercials, and then as an independent director of the most demanding TV projects. He was an assistant director on documentaries and feature films that received multiple international awards. Since 2003, he has been working as a producer and director in the production company Dokument Sarajevo.
 
From 2005 to 2008, he worked as a producer on one of the most popular children's series on BHT1. The documentary he produced, A DAY ON THE DRINIA, won the Big Seal at ZagrebDox in 2012, and the omnibus NEKE DRUGE PRIČE was screened at numerous festivals and also won multiple awards (Panorama of European Cinema in Athens, Best Film Award; FEDORA Award Federation of European and Mediterranean Film Critics in Pula; Special Award in Palić; Special Jury Award in Herceg Novi, etc.).
 
The film SIN, which he produced, premiered in the competitive program of the Sarajevo Film Festival 2019.
