The 15th Telemach Youth Film Festival in Sarajevo has concluded with the award ceremony, marking the jubilee edition.
The last festival nights featured three films, including the movie "Pored tebe" by Serbian director Stevan Filipović.
In the competition for the best feature film, the award was won by the film "I have electric dreams," and the jury awarded the best short film to the work titled "Tria."
The special award in the feature film category went to the film "EO," while the special recognition in the short film category was given to the film "The Other."
The jury for the feature film competition consisted of Montenegrin director Danilo Muranović, director Pjer Žalica, casting agent Anila Gajević, and cinematography professor Edib Ahmetašević. The youngest jury panel to date for the short film category included actor Filip Vidović, director Lina Dervs, and producer Alem Babić.
The Best New Appearance award and the festival ring were given to the young, talented Italian actor Mattia Carrano. He expressed his enthusiasm for Sarajevo and mentioned that this was one of his first awards. Carrano thanked the organizers for the invitation and expressed the significance of the award to him.
This year's OFF festival showcased a record number of 59 films and hosted hundreds of guests from 14 countries, demonstrating once again that it is the largest youth film festival in Southeast Europe.
The director of the festival, Kenan Musić, expressed his pride in all aspects of this year's OFF edition, from the number of guests and visitors to the quality of the films presented. He promised to continue pushing the boundaries of youth cinema and making the festival a focal point for young talents in the future.
In addition to the film awards, the festival traditionally awards the "Voice of Youth" award, and this year's recipient was the company Telemach. The award is given to individuals or companies that encourage and support young people through their work and dedication. The decision to award the prize to Telemach was based on their immense contribution to the development of cinematography and the promotion of young authors and their works in the market.
Telemach BH, the general sponsor of the 15th Telemach Youth Film Festival, has a mission to support young people, encourage them to educate themselves, create, and become the best version of themselves.
Apart from film screenings, the festival also organized 10 OFF Talks programs, three music events, and several other activities. It served as an excellent opportunity for young authors and filmmakers to meet and provided a great platform for promoting and distributing youth films. Two of the screened films were candidates for the Oscar award.
The festival ended with a concert by the band "Letu štuke" at the Vils Summer Screen, followed by an after-party at the Central Clubbing in the Youth Cente
