Kruno Trninić

CRO Director and Screenwriter

Kruno Trninić is a 24-year-old director and screenwriter from Zagreb. In 2019, he served as the creative director of the audiovisual programme for the 80th anniversary of V. gimnazija High School, held at the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall. Later that year, he co-founded and led the School Film Club, as well as mentored its members on a project for the Zagreb Tourist Board. In 2020, he was accepted into New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where he graduated summa cum laude in 2023 with a degree in Film and Television.
 
His professional debut, the action comedy short „Placement Test“, is currently in post-production. His other two short fiction films are expected to finish production this year: the psychological drama „Apollon Club“ and the folk horror „Filly“.
 
In 2022, he was a jury member for the inaugural „Best Emerging Filmmaker Award“ at the Rendez-Vous with French Cinema festival organized by Unifrance and Film at Lincoln Center in New York.
