The Croatian Audiovisual Centre (HAVC) and OFF Pro Film Market, the industry initiative of the Youth Film Festival Sarajevo, have formalized their collaboration, making HAVC an official partner of the largest short film market in this part of Europe.
The establishment of this partnership represents a logical progression of events, especially considering the strong presence of Croatian short films in the Festival’s official selections over the past seven years, as well as the large number of project submissions for the OFF Pro Co-production Market. Over the past five years since its founding, OFF Pro has featured projects supported by HAVC in its official co-production selection.
Starting in 2025, HAVC will officially sponsor the market by funding the Co-production Market Award for short film co-productions.
In recent years, HAVC has had its representatives present at the market, and last year, HAVC representatives were also part of the official jury and the OFF Pro Talks program.
It is important to highlight that OFF Pro Film Market is one of the most significant short film markets in Europe, and one of the few—if not the only one—that offers dedicated financial awards for film co-productions exceeding €15,000.
The market focuses on the development and co-production of European short films, as well as fostering networking and collaboration between filmmakers, production companies, and distributors from across Europe.
OFF Pro Film Market’s partners include the Ministry of Culture of Spain through the national ICAA center, the French Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Goethe-Institut, German Films, Malaga Film Festival – MAFIZ, Brussels Shorts, and Figari Film Festival Italy – Short Film Market.
The market will take place from July 20–23, 2025, as part of the 17th Telemach Youth Film Festival Sarajevo.
